Watermark Images

Protect photos with a text or logo watermark.

Your files are processed on your device and are never uploaded.

Protect your photos from being copied by adding a watermark. Put your name, website or copyright notice on a picture as text, or place your logo on top – then control its position, size, opacity and angle, or repeat it across the whole image.

Photographers, designers, online sellers and content creators use watermarks to keep credit for their work and discourage others from reusing it without permission.

How to Watermark an Image

  1. Choose your image: Select or drag in the photo you want to protect.
  2. Pick the watermark type: Text watermark, or Logo / image (a PNG with a transparent background works best).
  3. Set the position: Any corner, top or bottom centre, the centre, or tick Repeat across image for a tiled pattern.
  4. Adjust the look: Size (as a percentage of the image width), opacity and rotation. For text, choose the colour.
  5. Click Save image and download.

Tips for an Effective Watermark

  • An opacity of 40–60% protects the image without hiding the subject.
  • A repeated, rotated watermark is the hardest to crop out – good for product photos and previews.
  • A small corner watermark looks cleaner for portfolio and social media posts.
  • Use a white logo on dark photos and a dark logo on bright ones.
