Frequently Asked Questions
How do I crop an image online?
Choose your image, pick a shape or ratio, drag the box over the area you want and resize it with the round handle, then click Crop image.
Can I crop to an exact ratio like 16:9 or 1:1?
Yes. Choose Square 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16 or 3:2 and the box keeps that shape while you move it.
Can I crop a photo into a circle?
Yes. Choose Circle – the result is saved as a PNG with transparent corners.
Does cropping reduce image quality?
No. Only the area you keep is saved; it is not resized. Saving as PNG keeps every pixel exactly.
Can I crop to exact pixel dimensions?
Crop to the right ratio first, then set the exact pixels with Resize Image in Pixels.
Is Crop Image free to use?
Yes. Crop Image is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Your files are processed directly in your web browser on your own device. Nothing is uploaded or stored, and the file is gone from memory when you close the tab.
