Upscale Image
Enlarge photos 2× or 4× with sharpening.
Uses high-quality resampling and unsharp-mask sharpening in your browser. It makes edges crisper; it can't recreate detail that isn't in the photo.
Your files are processed on your device and are never uploaded.
Upscale a small image to 2×, 3× or 4× its size with smooth, high-quality resampling and sharpening. Make low-resolution photos, logos and screenshots big enough for printing, presentations, wallpapers or a website, without the blocky look of simple stretching.
How to Upscale an Image
- Choose your image.
- 4× enlargement is already selected – choose 2× or 3× if you need less.
- Adjust sharpness and clarity while comparing the before-and-after zoom.
- Click Enhance & save and download the larger image.
What to Expect
- Edges and text become larger and stay crisp instead of pixelated.
- Upscaling cannot invent detail that was never in the photo – a tiny, blurry image will look smoother, not perfectly sharp.
- 4× multiplies the pixel count by 16, so files get much bigger – reduce them afterwards with Reduce Image Size in KB if needed.

Does upscaling add real detail?
No. It enlarges smoothly and sharpens edges, but it cannot invent detail that was not in the original.

A 4× upscale has 16 times as many pixels. Reduce the file size afterwards with Reduce Image Size in KB if needed.
Is Upscale Image free to use?
Yes. Upscale Image is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Your files are processed directly in your web browser on your own device. Nothing is uploaded or stored, and the file is gone from memory when you close the tab.
