Applying for a new voter ID (Form 6) or changing the photo on your EPIC card (Form 8) online? The Voters' Service portal and the Voter Helpline app ask for a recent passport-style photo with a small file size. This page makes one in a click – about 200 × 230 pixels and under 100 KB – or a 3.5 × 4.5 cm version if your form asks for that.
How to Resize Your Photo for the Voter ID Form
- Choose a recent photo – face clearly visible, plain light background.
- Photo 200 × 230 px is selected with a 100 KB limit.
- Click Resize image and download.
- Upload it in Form 6 or Form 8 on the voters' portal or the Voter Helpline app.
Voter ID Photo Guidelines
- Recent colour photo in passport style – head and shoulders, looking at the camera.
- Plain white or light background – fix it with White Background Passport Photo.
- No caps, dark glasses or filters. Religious head coverings are fine if the face is clearly visible.
- Small file size – under 100 KB is safe for the online form.
The Election Commission's portal shows the accepted size on the upload screen. If it differs from the preset, type the width, height and KB shown there.
