How to Resize Your Photo and Signature for JEE Main

  1. Choose your photo – recent, in colour, on a white background.
  2. Photo 3.5 × 4.5 cm is selected. Click Resize image and download.
  3. Choose your signature scan and pick Signature 3.5 × 1.5 cm.
  4. Resize and download, then upload both on the JEE Main portal.

JEE Main Photo Requirements

  • Size: 3.5 × 4.5 cm, JPG, 10–200 KB.
  • Face: about 80% of the photo, without a mask, with both ears visible.
  • Background: plain white – change it with White Background Passport Photo.
  • No spectacles, cap or shadows. Glasses are allowed only if you wear them regularly.
  • Keep printed copies of the same photo – you will need them on exam day.

JEE Main Signature

Sign on white paper in black ink, in your normal handwriting. The signature box is wide and short (3.5 × 1.5 cm), so crop away the paper around your signature first with Crop Image – otherwise it will look tiny. A clean signature can come out under 10 KB; the preset enlarges it to the minimum automatically.

Photo Mismatch Notices

NTA has sent "photograph mismatch" notices to candidates whose uploaded photo did not match their look on exam day or was unclear. Use a recent photo taken for this purpose, not an old ID card picture or a heavily edited selfie.

NEET and CUET Too
