Resize PDF in MB
Reduce a PDF to 1MB, 2MB, 5MB or 10MB.
Pages are converted to optimised images, so text in the result can't be selected.
Your files are processed on your device and are never uploaded.
Reduce a large PDF to 1 MB, 2 MB, 5 MB or 10 MB. Scanned books, project reports, bank statements and photo-heavy brochures easily reach 20–100 MB – too big for email, WhatsApp, court and tax portals or tender sites. This page is set to 1 MB; change the target and the PDF is resized to fit, with the best quality that size allows.
How to Reduce a PDF to a Size in MB
- Choose your PDF.
- Set the target: 1 MB is preset; tap 2 MB or 5 MB, or type any size.
- Keep the level on Low or Recommended – at a few MB, quality usually stays close to the original.
- Click Compress PDF and download.
MB Limits in Everyday Use
- Email: Gmail and Outlook attachments are limited to about 20–25 MB in total.
- WhatsApp: documents send quickly when they are a few MB; large files take long on mobile data.
- Government and court portals: often 2 MB, 5 MB or 10 MB per file.
- University and project submissions: typically 5–10 MB.
MB to KB
1 MB is 1024 KB. If a form gives its limit in KB – 500 KB, for example – use Compress PDF to 500KB or Resize PDF in KB.
Keep Text Selectable
For a text-heavy report or ebook where you only need a moderate reduction, the PDF Compressor shrinks the pictures and leaves the text searchable and copyable.
Private and Free
Large PDFs are processed on your own device – nothing is uploaded, which also saves your data. No sign-up, no watermark.
