The NEET UG application asks for some documents as PDFs – the category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS), the PwBD certificate and, where needed, the citizenship certificate. Recent NTA cycles have set a range of 50 KB to 300 KB in PDF format. This page is set to 300 KB, so your certificate fits in one go.
How to Compress a Certificate PDF for NEET
- Choose the certificate PDF. Only have a photo of it? Make a PDF first with JPG to PDF.
- 300 KB is preset. Use Low or Recommended for a clear result.
- Click Compress PDF and check the new size.
- Below 50 KB? Raise it with Increase PDF Size to 100KB so it falls inside the range.
NEET Document Sizes at a Glance
- Category / PwBD / citizenship certificate: PDF, 50–300 KB.
- Passport and postcard photo, thumb impression: JPG, 10–200 KB – use the NEET Photo Resizer.
- Signature: JPG, a few KB to about 30 KB.
These figures come from recent NTA information bulletins as reported by coaching guides. NTA can change them each year – the information bulletin on the NEET website is the final word.
Keep the Certificate Readable
- Names, certificate numbers and the issuing authority's seal must stay legible – zoom in before uploading.
- A one- or two-page certificate fits well within 300 KB at good quality.
- Tick Black & white only if the certificate has no important coloured seal.
