Applying for RRB NTPC, Group D, ALP, Technician, JE or RPF? Railway forms have tight rules for the signature – recent notices ask for 140 × 60 px and 30–49 KB – and several now take your photo live with the camera. This page has both presets ready: the signature size, and a 3.5 × 4.5 cm photo for forms that still ask for an upload.
How to Resize Your Signature for RRB
- Sign on plain white paper in black ink, in running handwriting – not in capital letters.
- Photograph or scan it and choose the file here.
- Signature 140 × 60 px is selected with a 49 KB maximum.
- Click Resize image and check the size shown.
The 30 KB Minimum
A 140 × 60 px signature is tiny – on its own it is usually only 3–8 KB, far below the 30 KB minimum that recent RRB forms set. That is why many candidates see "file size too small". The Signature preset on this page fixes that automatically: after resizing, the file is enlarged to just above 30 KB while the signature looks exactly the same.
RRB Photo: Upload or Live Capture?
- Live capture: most new RRB applications take the photo through your webcam or phone camera – sit in good light, against a plain wall, without a cap or glasses.
- Upload: if your form asks for a file, choose Photo 3.5 × 4.5 cm here. Use a white background – change it with White Background Passport Photo if needed.
- Keep the same photo for the admit card and document verification.
Check Your CEN Notice
Each RRB recruitment (CEN) notice lists the exact sizes. The figures here come from recent notices, but rules change – read the instructions on the official RRB portal before submitting.
