IBPS Photo, Signature, Thumb and Declaration Sizes

  • Photograph: 200 × 230 px, JPG, 20–50 KB, recent colour photo on a light background.
  • Signature: 140 × 60 px, JPG, 10–20 KB, black ink on white paper, not in capital letters.
  • Left thumb impression: 240 × 240 px, JPG, 20–50 KB, blue or black ink on white paper.
  • Handwritten declaration: 800 × 400 px, JPG, 50–100 KB, written in English in your own handwriting, not in capitals.

These are the sizes IBPS and SBI have used in recent notifications. Some forms now take a live photo during registration – always follow the notice of your exam.

The Handwritten Declaration

Write the declaration text given in the notification on white paper in black ink, in your normal handwriting. Photograph it flat in daylight, crop it to the text with Crop Image, then resize it here. A clean declaration often comes out below 50 KB – the preset enlarges it to the minimum automatically.

Tips for the Thumb Impression

  • Use a stamp pad, press once and lift straight up so the ridges are clear.
  • Crop to a square around the print before resizing – the 240 × 240 box is square.
  • Smudged prints are a common reason for rejection – take a new one rather than editing.
