2 Pages Per Sheet

Print two PDF pages on each sheet, side by side or stacked.

Your files are processed on your device and are never uploaded.

Printing a 40-page PDF does not have to use 40 sheets. 2 pages per sheet places two pages of your PDF on each sheet of paper – side by side on a landscape sheet, or one above the other – and saves the result as a new PDF you can print anywhere. Half the paper, half the weight in your bag.

How to Put 2 PDF Pages on One Sheet

  1. Choose your PDF. 2 pages per sheet is already selected.
  2. Choose the paper: A4, Letter, Legal or A3. Leave orientation on Automatic – for normal portrait pages it picks landscape, so both pages are as large as possible.
  3. Adjust if you like: margin, the gap between the two pages, and an optional thin border around each page.
  4. Check the preview of the first sheet and click Create PDF.

Is the Text Still Readable?

Two A4 pages side by side on one A4 sheet are each shrunk to about 70% of their size, so normal 11–12 pt body text prints at roughly 8 pt – smaller, but comfortable for notes and reading. Because pages are placed as vector content, the small text stays perfectly crisp rather than blurry. For documents with tiny print, use A3 paper, which keeps every page at almost its full size.

Good Uses for 2-Up Printing

  • Study notes and question papers – easy to carry, easy to read.
  • Drafts for proof-reading – see facing pages together like a book.
  • E-books and manuals you want on paper without printing hundreds of sheets.
  • Slides with large text, where two per page is still very legible.

Printing Double-Sided

Combine 2 pages per sheet with your printer's duplex option and four PDF pages fit on one piece of paper. Choose "flip on short edge" for landscape sheets so the back side is not upside down.

Open the PDF here – 2 pages per sheet is preset – choose the paper size and click Create PDF. Print the new PDF normally at 100% scale.
How do I get the pages side by side?
Use landscape or Automatic orientation. For portrait pages, Automatic picks landscape and places them side by side.
Can I put two pages one above the other?
Yes. Choose portrait orientation; the two pages are then stacked vertically.
Will the text be too small to read?
On A4 each page is shrunk to about 70%. Text stays sharp because it is vector content. Use A3 paper to keep pages close to full size.
Can I print double-sided with 2 pages per sheet?
Yes. Print the new PDF with your printer's duplex setting and choose "flip on short edge" for landscape sheets.
Is 2 Pages Per Sheet free to use?
