Compress Image to 100KB
Make a photo 100KB or smaller for forms and uploads.
Your files are processed on your device and are never uploaded.
A 100 KB limit is common for document photos, certificates and ID scans on job and admission portals, and for profile pictures and attachments on many websites. It leaves enough room for a detailed photo or a readable page of text – once the oversized phone original is brought down. This page is set to 100 KB.
How to Compress an Image to 100KB
- Pick your image – a photo, scan or screenshot in JPG, PNG or WebP.
- Keep the 100 KB target or change it to match your form.
- Click Compress image. The tool settles on the highest quality under 100 KB.
- Download and check the result before uploading.
What 100KB Is Good For
- Certificates and mark sheets: a photographed A4 page at about 1000 × 1400 px stays legible.
- Aadhaar, PAN or driving licence: both sides of a card, each well under 100 KB.
- Profile photos: 800 × 800 px or more with clean detail.
- Product images for small shops and classifieds that limit upload size.
Documents vs Photos
Text documents and photos compress differently. For a document, crop to the paper edges and shoot in good light – a white page with black text shrinks well. For a person's photo, the face carries the detail that matters, so crop away background. If your form asks for a PDF rather than an image, use JPG to PDF Under 100KB instead.
Worked Example
A 4.2 MB photo of an A4 certificate (4000 × 3000 px) is cropped to the page, then compressed to 100 KB. The tool lowers the resolution to roughly 1200 px on the long side and picks a quality that keeps the text crisp – the final file is about 95 KB.
Multiple Documents?
There is no limit – compress one after another. For many photos at once with one setting, use the Bulk Image Compressor.
