Voice Recorder with Background Music
Record your voice over a music track and save the mix.
Wear headphones: you hear the music while you speak, and it is mixed in cleanly afterwards.
Your files are processed on your device and are never uploaded.
Record your voice over a music track right in your browser. Choose a song or beat, put on headphones, and talk or sing while the music plays. Afterwards the music is mixed cleanly under your voice, and you save the finished recording as MP3 or WAV.
It is ideal for voice-overs, podcast intros, karaoke and cover songs, rap over a beat, birthday messages and narrated slideshows.
How to Record
- Choose the music: MP3, WAV or M4A. Set the music volume and tick Loop the music if your recording may be longer than the track.
- Put on headphones so the microphone picks up only your voice.
- Click Start recording and allow microphone access when your browser asks.
- Pause and resume whenever you need a break – the recording continues in the same file.
- Click Stop and listen to the result.
- Save: Choose MP3 or WAV and click Save recording. Or click Record again for a new take.
Tips for Better Sound
- Distance: Keep the microphone about a hand's width away from your mouth.
- Room: Soft furniture, curtains and carpets reduce echo. Avoid bare kitchens and bathrooms.
- Headset microphones usually sound much better than a laptop's built-in microphone.
- Noise reduction: Keep it on for speech. Turn it off for music and singing, where it can make instruments sound thin.
- Music level: Keep the music clearly quieter than your voice so every word is understood.
Private by Design
Your recording is made and stored in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and the recording disappears when you close the page unless you save it. If microphone access was blocked, click the lock or camera icon in the address bar and allow the microphone.
After recording, you can trim the start and end with Audio Cutter or remove long pauses with Remove Silence.
